Gifts toward school supplies go directly to books, uniforms, and materials as funds come in.

Community Events

Alongside groceries, beds, and school supplies, Pastor Joluis and I host educational events for the children of Saboneta - La Cienega — a day set aside just for them.

The Partnership Behind Every Gift

This project is carried out in partnership with a local pastor and church community who know each family by name — ensuring every gift reaches the household it's meant for.

Pastor Joluis Amboise

Pastor Joluis has been serving the communities of Saboneta - La Cienega for 10 years. He leads a full Bible School curriculum himself, guiding children from age 7 through graduation between ages 13 and 15. He also makes regular hospital and home visits, often alongside other members of the church community — a vital presence in an area facing deep poverty.

A note on this project: The Sabaneta - La Cienega Family Project is a personal, gift-based outreach carried out by Andrea Ruth Walker in partnership with the local church community in Sabaneta - La Cienega, Cabarete, Dominican Republic. It is separate from, and not part of, Andrea Ruth Walker's consulting or coaching services. Gifts given here are personal gifts — not payment for services, not investments, and not tax-deductible donations, as this project is not a registered charity. Donors select a category at the time of giving; gifts toward beds are pooled in USD and a bed is purchased each time that category reaches $250 USD. 100% of gifts minus processing fees go toward the category chosen, or toward the community's greatest need.
